I was excited to see one of my all time favorite colors come back into trend this past season. Hunter green was popular when my husband Justin and I were married 25 years ago, December 30th, 1995. My wedding colors were inspired by this trend and my bridesmaids all adorned hunter green and gold accented lace dresses.
I looked up the definition of hunter green in Wikipedia and it states: Hunter green is a color worn by hunters in the 19th century . Most hunters began wearing the color olive drab instead of hunter green about the beginning of the 20th century. I thought this was rather interesting on how it has evolved and been added to our interior design color palettes today.
Benjamin Moore has a lovely shade of hunter green. Hunter Green 2041-10. This paint would be great for a rich accent wall or in a room filled with natural light. https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/color-overview/find-your-color/color/2041-10/hunter-green?color=2041-10
I have always enjoyed using a variety of green tones in my personal and client home interiors. Greens are great and can be used together with many varying shades in combinations. Greens are symbolic of nature, created by God's own handiwork. I would encourage you to add some deep greens into your home decor as you journey through these winter months. Take delight and observe the beautiful pines in the surrounding winter snow. Green means "LIFE" and "HOPE FOR THE FUTURE". It is minimally seen in our North Dakota winter months yet the tiny hint of this
hue coming from the pines warms our hearts and settles our souls. Spring will be on it's way soon!
